Tuesday of Holy Week

Bring the children together around the main prayer focus (if you able to do so).

Remind them that this is a time of reflection and prayer.

Could they share their prayer they wrote yesterday or say a new prayer for someone important in their life.

Activity

During Holy Week, let us take time to reflect on the positives in our lives. Jesus faced this difficult week so that we could live our lives to the full.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10

Throughout this week, let us think of the wonderful things in our lives that we are thankful for. Find an empty jar and use it to create a Jar of Thanksgiving.

You can decorate your jar with some of the things you and your family are thankful for and then each day, write or draw a picture of one thing you are thankful for.

Don’t tell the rest of your family what you have written or drawn and then when the jar is full, spread the thankful comments out and share them with your family.

You can decorate your jar however you like; paints, paper or even with a picture of your family.
