Arrived Safely!
Everyone Happy!

Monday 23rd January 2012

After a fairly good sleep and not too much encouragement to get up, the children thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast and are now enjoying their morning activities.  They have enjoyed archery, low ropes activities and a giant leap of faith!  The children are displaying excellent teamwork skills and aren't complaining about the cold weather!  This afternoon they are bouldering, fencing and have a scrapheap challenge.  We will add some photo's later.

Tuesday 24th January 2012

After a rocket firing challenge everyone slept soundly last night including the staff!  All groups have now started on their activities for the day which include zip wire, initiative exercises, circus skills, climbing Jacob's ladder and lazer quest.  Let's hope it doesn't rain too much today!  All of the children are having an amazing time.

Quotes from the children:-

" I went on the zipwire and screamed all the way down.  It felt amazing."

"Mr Allen sang all the way down the zipwire."

"Nightline was awesome.  It was very, very, very muddy and dark."

"Mrs Bateman completed the Leap of Faith."

"I was well chuffed when I got on Jacob's Ladder."

"It was amazing when I jumped off the Leap of Faith!"

"Mrs Ingham attempted the Leap of Faith and was a star at Archery."

"Everything is awesome."

"Mr Allen cheated at Lazerquest and Frisbee Golf!"

"Aaaagh, Jacob's Ladder was well hard!"

"The Leap of Faith was the most terrifying experience yet!"

"Miss Flynn has done two backflips! (Not on purpose though!)

And from the staff:-

"Wonderful to see the sense of achievement on the faces of the children."

As you can see we are all having a fantastic time.....even the sun is shining today!

Thursday 26th January 2012

Our last full day of activities are well underway.  Some groups are Caving, Orienteering, and Problem Solving this morning.  The highlight of the day so far though seems to be the Giant Zipwire and everyone is certainly looking forward to the disco this evening.  The children have all worked really well together and always support and encourage each other on the activities.....they are a credit to you all.

Friday 27th January 2012

All packed up and just completing our last activities before lunch and setting off home. The children are looking forward to seeing you to tell you all about their adventures. We've all had a wonderful week.
