Broadbent Fold v St. Paul's

On Friday the boys' football team went to Broadbent Fold primary school to play in the first round of the Tameside cup.

The boys played incredibly well throughout the game and I am delighted to say that we had 4 boys making the debut for St. Paul’s.

St. Paul’s made a lively start and had a number of good chances but went 1-0 down after Broadbent Fold scored on the break.

St. Paul’s responded really well, having the majority of possession. The pressure paid off and Luca (Y5) scored a well worked debut goal.

Unfortunately, in the dying minutes of the game, Broadbent Fold scored against the run of play and the game finished 2-1.
