Arts Week at St Pauls Day 3

We started the day with an assemly by a two local martial arts teachers and were thoroughly impressed by Jack in Year 3's kickboxing talents! Thank you to both the basketball coach and martial arts teachers for coming in to talk to the children about health and fitness, we hope to hear from lots of the children that they have taken up the offer for free first lessons!

The Reception classes visited Hyde Park today to look at the visual art and sculpture on display there and returned with arms full of foliage to create their own artworks with.

Year 5 have learnt about the work of Andy Warhol and I was delighted to see Roisin's take on his Pop Art style. Whilst Year 6 were the last class to have the opportunity to work with our Artist in Residence this week - the pieces the children have been working are impressive and they all seem to have revelled in the chance to experience creating a larger scale piece of art as well as working with a professional Artist.

We look forward to seeing lots of parents tomorrow at 2:40pm for our Celebration Assembly to mark the end of this very busy but fun week.
