Trip to Longdendale Environmental Centre

Date: 5th Jul 2016 @ 6:30pm

What a fantastic day we had!

We have used our senses to explore the forest- Hawk eyes, Bat ears, Spider touch, Badger nose!

We made forest potion, led our blindfolded partners through the trees, hunted for colourful worms and much more!

After lunch we explored the pond. We dipped our nets and studied what we caught. We dipped for backswimmers, pond skaters, water beetles, water shrimps and much more. We even caught an newt and a froglet! Then we went on a mini beast hunt through the forest. There were spiders, beetles, worms, woodlice and even more we couldn't catch!

What a fun filled day!
