St. Paul's are going for Gold!

We are delighted to announce that we, St. Paul's Catholic Primary School, have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Thank you to all of the children who have taken part in sporting competitions and have represented school in such an amazing way! Also, thank you to the parents and family members who come along to support the children.

During the school year of 2025-2026, the school willreceived £17,750 to improve the quality of sport and PE provision at St. Paul's, Primary School. Our vision is to create a culture that encourages all children to be active and have positive attitudes towards physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The impact of this funding will be measured by school and progress of pupils will be highlighted.

The funding is used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. St. Paul's are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

We believe high quality physical education and school sport will contribute to a range of outcomes for our children. Not only does it equip young people with physical literacy while supporting their physical development, movement skills and body confidence, but it also contributes to their physical, mental and social well-being.

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport. #SportForAll
