Year 2 2025 - 2026

Welcome to Year 2.

This year will be Mrs Lloyd will be teaching on Monday – Thursday and Miss Bower on Fridays.

Mrs Campbell is the Teaching Assistant.

In our English learning we will writing a recount of our Save the Bee day and in Maths we will be learning time, statistics and geometry. 

In Geography lessons we will be answering the question: What is Manchester like compared with Tulum, Mexico and in DT we will be Rebuilding History.

Our PE days are Thursday and Friday.

This year we made improvements to our home reading book system. All the children will bring home one reading book, these are are phonetically decodable and match your child’s phonics knowledge. Books will be changed on a Monday and Thursday to encourage over-reading for fluency.

Homework, including spellings, will be given out on Fridays and should be returned by Wednesday in order for this to be marked.
