Not Now, Bernard!

Date: 11th Nov 2014 @ 5:03pm

There have been some strange goings - on in the Year One classroom so far this week. On Monday we came in to find muddy footprints along with some other clues which we used to come up with ideas for who, or what had visited our classroom. The children wrote some wonderful apology letters to Mrs Prince, and I think she has forgiven the mess!

Today after breaktime Evie came into class to tell us she had found an envelope with our class name on. We read the note on the back which revealed that what had made the mess was indeed a monster (clever Megan knew all along!). The Monster had sent us a book about himself! This book is Not Now, Bernard and we are going to be doing alot more work on this text in the coming week.

Some of the children told me they had their own copy at home - please share this with your grown ups so they can join in the fun!

Do you have any other books with monsters in at home? Maybe you could bring these in this week to share with us in class.
