Meeting Lydia Monks.

On April 19th we walked all the way to Hyde library to meet Lydia Monks. 

She is an illustrator and has illustrated many famous books by Julia Donaldson.

The walk took us over half an hour and we were glad it didn't rain.

We arrived at the Town Hall and were shown to a large hall which was up some grand stairs.

We sat and watched Lydia as she drew pictures from her books.

She drew one child from each school a picture. In our school it was Ava.

She then read her new book which is called "What the ladybird heard next!"

We made the noises of the different animals- it was so much fun.

It really was an amazing morning out!
