Monday of Holy Week

Bring the children together around the main prayer focus (if you able to do so).

Remind them that this is a time of reflection and prayer.

Give the children time to think of any prayers they know. How do the prayers begin and end? What are the prayers about?

Ask them to think about someone, or a group of people they would like to say a prayer for?

Activity

During Lent, let us take a moment to think about people in our lives that need our prayers. We may know people who are sick or lonely; we may know people who would simply benefit from our prayers.

Take this time to write a prayer for that person or draw a picture of the person who you would like to keep in your prayers during Holy Week.

When you have finished, ask your parents to send your prayers and/or pictures to Mr Allen and he will create an electronic prayer wall for us to share.

You could send a video of you saying your prayer, if your parents give permission for this video to be shared on our school website and twitter page.
