Arts at St Paul's
At St Paul's we strive to offer the children a broad and balanced curriculum which encompasses the arts and cultural education.
In March 2020 we received confirmation of our Artsmark Silver award which is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England. We have worked hard as a staff in collaboration with the children and outside agencies to plan and evaluate our arts and cultural offer so as to provide interesting and engaging learning opportunities for all our young people.
We value our partnership with Mrs Taylor from Pink Aardvark Arts who has provided staff and children with so many wonderful learning opportunities. In addition to this, different groups of children have been fortunate enough to produce bespoke artwork alongside Mrs Taylor which bring life and colour to our corridors.
In 2020 we were awarded Music Mark award which recoginises our commitment to high quality music education in partnership with Tameside Music Service, who have provided support through topic enrichment, whole class and group teaching. Alongside this, we use Charanga to teach music in class thus providing the children with an experience of a range of different musical styles as well as the opportuntity to perfrom and compose their own music.
At St Paul's we continue to work hard to provide a diverse curriculum underpinned by a wide ranging cultural offer which enables our pupils to grow in confidence and resilience.
