Year 2 Reading Challenge

In Year 2, we are beginning a very exciting Reading Challenge to encourage us all to get reading! There will be certificates and rewards for children who reach the Bronze, Silver and Gold stage. If your child reads twice at home in 1 week, they will receive a sticker to add to our class chart. 4 times equals 2 stickers. Your child can receive a sticker on a Monday if they read over the weekend. Please note that a child does not have to have finished a book to claim a sticker. Even reading a couple of pages of their reading book will count towards a sticker, as long as their reading record is signed. Questioning your child on what they have read is just as important as listening to them read.
